Chelsea Huffman
I'm an Independent Facilitator dedicated to helping individuals and families navigate California’s Self-Determination Program with confidence and choice.
I hold degrees in Psychology and a Master’s in Education, and I’m a Certified Autism Specialist with a background in special education, behavior analysis, family support, case management, and advocacy. My work centers on strength-based strategies and individualized supports, with a focus on empowering individuals through positive, evidence-based practices.
Outside of work, I enjoy art, nature, and lifelong learning. I'm committed to helping each person build a life rooted in dignity, self-direction, and meaningful growth.
My approach
centers on building strong, positive relationships and using a flexible, person-driven process. I combine knowledge of educational, social, and behavioral systems to create meaningful, evidence-based plans that reflect each person’s unique strengths and goals.

a note about language
"Exceptional"
At Exceptional Intentions, we want to promote the use of "exceptional" instead of "disability" to honor each person’s unique strengths, needs, and potential.
While we use "exceptional" to reflect a strength-based philosophy, we respect the term "disability" as a vital legal term that ensures rights and access. In official settings, we use appropriate legal language to support each person’s goals.

Our commitment is to see and support the whole person, not just a label.
